THE THIRD BOOK OF NEFI Chapter 10

  1. But if they will repent, and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my assembly among them, and they shall come in unto the covenant232 and be numbered among this the remnant of Ya’akov, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance. And they shall assist my people, the remnant of Ya’akov, and also as many of the house of Isra’el as shall come, that they may build a city which shall be called the New Yerushalayim.233 And then shall they assist my people, that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Yerushalayim. And then shall the Powers of Heaven234 come down among them, and I also will be in the midst. And then shall the work of the Father commence at that day, even when this besorah shall be preached among the remnant of this people. Truly I say unto you, at that day shall the work of the Father commence among all the dispersed of my people, yes, even the tribes which have been lost, which the Father has led away out of Yerushalayim. Yes, the work shall commence among all the dispersed of my people, with the Father to prepare the way by which they may come unto me, that they may call on the Father in my name. Yes, and then shall the work commence with the Father among all nations, in preparing the way by which his people may be gathered235 home to the land of their inheritance. And they shall go out from all nations, and they shall not go out in haste nor go by flight, for I will go before them, says the Father, and I will be their rearguard.236
  2. And then shall that which is written come to pass: Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says yhwh. Enlarge the place of your tent and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; spare not, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, for you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left, and your seed shall inherit the Goyim and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed, neither be you confounded, for you shall not be put to shame; for you shall forget the shame of your youth and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker, your husband, yhwh Tzva’ot is his name; and your Redeemer, HaKodesh of Isra’el, the Elohim of the whole earth shall he be called. For yhwh has called you as a woman abandoned and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth when you were refused, says your Elohim. For a small moment have I abandoned you, but with great mercies will I gather you. In a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you, says yhwh your Redeemer. For this, the waters of Noach unto me, for as I have sworn that the waters of Noach should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my shalom be removed, says yhwh that has mercy on you.
  3. O you afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with fair colors and lay your foundations with sapphires. And I will make your windows of agates, and your gates of carbuncles, and all your borders of pleasant stones. And all your children shall be taught of yhwh, and great shall be the shalom of your children. In righteousness shall you be strengthened; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Behold, they shall surely gather together against you, not by me; whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire and that brings forth an instrument for his work, and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of yhwh, and their righteousness is of me, says yhwh.237
  4. And now behold, I say unto you that you ought to search these things. Yes, a mitzvah I give unto you that you search these things diligently, for great are the words of Yesha’yahu. For surely he spoke as touching all things concerning my people which are of the house of Isra’el. Therefore, it must necessarily be that he speak also to the Goyim. And all things that he spoke have been and shall be, even according to the words which he spoke. Therefore, give heed to my words. Write the things which I have told you, and, according to the time and the will of the Father, they shall go forth unto the Goyim. And whosoever will hearken unto my words, and repents and is washed by immersion, the same shall be saved. Search the prophets, for many there be that testify of these things.
  5. And now it came to pass that when Yeshua had said these words, he said unto them again, after he had expounded238 all the scriptures unto them which they had received, he said unto them, Behold, other scriptures I would that you should write, that you have not. And it came to pass that he said unto Nefi, Bring forth the record which you have kept. And when Nefi had brought forth the records and laid them before him, and he cast his eyes upon them and said, Truly I say unto you, I commanded my servant Sh’mu’el, the Lamanite, that he should testify unto this people that at the day that the Father should glorify his name in me, that there were many k’doshim who should arise from the dead, and should appear unto many, and should minister unto them. And he said unto them, Was it not so? And his talmidim answered him and said, Yes, Adon, Sh’mu’el did prophesy according to your words, and they were all fulfilled. And Yeshua said unto them, How is it that you have not written this thing, that many k’doshim239 did arise and appear unto many and did minister unto them? And it came to pass that Nefi remembered that this thing had not been written. And it came to pass that Yeshua commanded that it should be written, therefore it was written according as he commanded.
